Bradstone has kicked off the year in emphatic style, introducing tons of new and exciting products. Porcelain, natural stone and concrete ranges all have new additions for 2018.
To those “in the know” in the landscaping world, 2017 will most likely be remembered as the year of porcelain. If you mention porcelain to the general public they would probably picture pottery and ornaments. However, with its super strong properties, anti fade and consistent thickness it's the perfect material for contemporary outdoor paving.
The Mode porcelain range has a new addition; Profiled. These paving slabs are the definition of contemporary elegance. This range has a fine riven texture featuring mica crystals to add interest and sparkle to your patio. Available in two sizes and four attractive shades, this paving will create a statement while being incredibly easy to maintain.
Also added to the porcelain range is the all new Pauta which boasts of maximum strength and minimalist styling. Pauta paving features a speckled design to create the look of natural granite with all the benefits of modern porcelain. With this porcelain you can expect extraordinary strength, durability, no colour fading and minimal maintenance. Available in two sizes and two shades, you can mix and match to suit your preference.
Finally, to complete your landscaping project, Bradstone has added porcelain bullnosed steps to accompany the mode profiled paving. The introduction of a bullnosed step to the range allows for a completely seamless design scheme throughout your project.
Grand by name, grand by nature, Bradstone has added a new colour in the Caramel to the Grand Natural Sandstone range - this stone has been developed with larger projects in mind. It is a smooth paver with a fine grained surface that really gives a wow factor to your landscaping project. The slabs are available in four different sizes, the biggest being 1250x750mm, and for 2018 Bradstone have added a patio pack.
Also added to the natural stone range is a new variation of the ever popular Blue Black Limestone, the 900x600mm flagstones will be available for purchase in 2018. As with all Limestone products, the colour is likely to fade in sunlight, however if you would prefer to maintain the vibrant blue black colour we would recommend sealing the paving.
An exciting development in the natural stone range for 2018 is the introduction of two new smooth bullnose steps in Dune and Silver Grey , these can be used in partnership with the corresponding paving to create a completely seamless finish.
Finally, within the walling range Bradstone has introduced sandstone slips in Sunset Buff, Fossil Buff and Silver Grey – the Sunset Buff also has a smooth variant to complete a contemporary design scheme. Slate slips have also been added in both the Blue-Black and Vijaya Gold. These walling slips are a perfect addition to any walling project, adding texture and substance.
Finally, we come to the new additions to the Bradstone concrete range. Concrete products are often given a hard time, people are quick to jump to the conclusion that all concrete products will be reminiscent of the brutalist architecture of the 1950's however this couldn't be further from the truth. Admittedly, there are certain concrete products within the budget range which are less aesthetically pleasing and we would always recommend these slabs for projects which are on a tight budget and where the slabs are primarily for a utility purpose. But if you are wanting a product which is hard wearing and maintains colour, concrete paving may be perfect for you.
Bradstone has introduced a new shade to the Old Town range – Old Quarried – which is perfect for creating a garden design with a charming, traditional look. The Old Town range is made from moulds formed from flooring taken from a derelict 19th century Lancashire Cotton Mill, its finish looks just like authentic reclaimed stone.
The Mahina range is an exciting new addition for 2018, this slab will give any garden a modern and refined feel with its stylish textured finish. It is available in two shades of grey, both with a contemporary fleck to replicate granite. Panache matching walling and edging can be used to complement the finished appearance.
