A-Joint Flex is the easiest premium pavement fixing mortar on the market developed specifically for narrow joints and porcelain paving. A-Joint is top quality and is resistant to frost, ice, salt, weeds, and abrasions. What puts A-Joint above other similar products is its user-friendly application, simply dampen the desired area and brush it into the joints. What's more, it is also very cost effective and can permanently fix the joints between porcelain paving without using a lot at a time. We are a major stockist of all 3 A-Joint colours.
Neutral is a buff sand-like colour, Stone Grey is as the name suggests a light grey, and Basalt is a dark grey almost charcoal colour suited to darker paving options.

Usage Instructions |
The joints must be free of weeds, roots and loose parts to a depth of at least 30 mm. cleaned. The surface to be grouted must be cleaned of all dirt. Adjacent surfaces that are not jointed areas should be taped or covered. To avoid settling and loose stones, we recommend a permanently water-permeable and load-bearing substrate corresponding to the subsequent load. Pre-wetting is important Pre-wet the entire surface extensively. Higher soil temperatures and absorbent, open-pored rock require more intensive pre-wetting. In general, use clean and cold water. Filling the joints Take the vacuum bag out of the bucket, cut it open and spread the compound evenly over the well-pre-wetted surface. Work the paving grout intensively into the joints with a broom or rubber squeegee. The joints must be completely filled and compacted. By dosing the fresh mortar with a fine water spray, you increase the strength of the joint and narrower joint widths can be filled more easily. Avoid standing water on the surface during application. Fill up sagged joints with fresh grout immediately. Cleaning the surface Immediately after jointing, clean the stone surface with a fine broom carefully and diagonally to the joint. Remove all residues of the paving joint mortar from the stone surface. Material that has been turned away is not to be used again. Be aware that chamfers (bevelling of the side edges) on slabs and pavers must be exposed. Process Protect the freshly jointed surface from continuous or heavy rain for 12-24 hours. We recommend construction foil or tarpaulins as rain protection. These can be laid directly on the surface. At temperatures around 20°C, the surface can be walked on after 24 hours and driven on after 6 days. Low temperatures and high humidity can extend the complete curing time up to several weeks. A strength test is always recommended before use. Slight sanding of the mortar surface is possible due to the raw material. Cleaning work (high-pressure cleaner max. 100 bar, min. 30 cm distance) may be carried out after 7 days at the earliest. |
